I have finally managed to get the Linux box I always wanted, purchased a laptop with Visturd on it and after getting it home saved the new machine from a lifetime of problems. i installed Ubuntu 8.04 and haven’t looked back, only problem was copying dvd’s, I tried a few apps but no luck I wanted k3b but didn’t think I’d ever get it running under gnome. Thanks for this great piece on finally creating my dream Linux machine.

Use this for the mp3s:
sudo apt-get install libk3b2-extracodecs

The only hick is that i’ve to type it everytime i restart the pc.How can i make it works automatically….
