Linux in a Nutshell author takes on Vista’s Net and Scheduler Architecture

Some proof of the lunacy contained within Vista. It came out a short time ago that playing multimedia on your PC had a detrimental effect on network performance, for some reason. Microsoft’s Mark Russinovitch offered a preliminary explanation that left some folks scratching their heads. This is Robert Love’s comparison of the differences in behavior between Linux and Windows in this situation, and a critique of how Redmond has handled it.
