I want to say thanks to everyone who visited from Stumble, Reddit, and Digg yesterday and today. You guys pounded my server pretty hard, but I kept an eye on it all day to make sure readers were able to get to the content. You almost brought it down. Almost!
I’ll have a post internet storm analysis up in the coming days so we can see the effects that getting hit hard by 3 popular social networking sites can have. Hopefully some of the tips will benefit other webmasters out there when they find themselves in the same pleasantly surprising, but tough position. Stay tuned!

It will be interesting to see how much repeat visitors come through after the fact, or just a hit and run type of deal.

Judging by the referrers and pingbacks, there will be a good deal of residual traffic. It remains to be seen how many folks will keep coming back. I’ve got lots of feed subscribers as a result of today. That will help keep folks coming.
